The original FWT REM500B neutron measuring instrument REM 500 (including optional source) has a small volume and light weight. No need for moderator. Real REM response, integration and rate mode, automatic range, nRAD and REM display. The REM 500 model is a small and lightweight neutron detector. It measures neutrons through the combination of a Organizational Equivalent Proportional Counter (TEPC) and a 256 channel multi-channel analyzer, without the need for large heavy moderators. The instrument applies appropriate ICRU/P quality factors to each neutron event to achieve true REM response

Product Details

REM500 (including optional source) is small in size, light in weight, and does not require a moderator. It has a real REM response integration and rate mode automatic range.

RAD and REM display that the HPI model REM500 is a small and lightweight neutron detector. It measures neutrons through the combination of a Organizational Equivalent Proportional Counter (TEPC) and a 256 channel multi-channel analyzer, without the need for large heavy moderators. The instrument applies appropriate ICRU/P quality factors to each neutron event to achieve true REM response.

The REM500 has all the conveniences of a microprocessor based instrument, including an alphanumeric display, soft keys, and front panel calibration. Guide users to use various functions through the screen menu, with easy operation. The display screen can automatically cover a complete range of 7 orders of magnitude in both RAD and REM units, with both rate mode and integration mode. The integration mode will also display the integration time in hours/minutes/seconds.

The built-in optional verification source can verify the correctness of device operation and detector calibration. The detector is designed to be sealed and has been in use on site for over 10 years. The aluminum casing is sturdy and comes with a sealing gasket. The battery is replaced through the cover at the end of the casing, and the 6-cell C-type alkaline battery can last up to 100 hours.
