One way valves are used in hydraulic systems to prevent reverse flow of oil, or in pneumatic systems to prevent reverse flow of compressed air. There are two types of one-way valves: straight through and right angle. Straight through one-way valves are installed on pipelines with threaded connections; There are three forms of right angle one-way valves: threaded connection, plate connection, and flange connection.
The function of a one-way valve is to allow the medium to flow in only one direction and prevent the flow in the opposite direction. Usually, this type of valve works automatically, and under the pressure of fluid flowing in one direction, the valve disc opens; When the fluid flows in the opposite direction, the pressure of the fluid and the self weight of the valve disc act on the valve seat, thereby cutting off the flow.
