Olympus' 27MG instrument is an economical and practical ultrasonic thickness gauge designed to accurately measure corroded or eroded parts inside metal pipes, tanks, and other components from one side. This instrument weighs only 340 grams and is designed to meet ergonomic requirements. Operators can easily operate it with one hand. Although the body of the 27MG instrument is compact, it can provide users with many innovative measurement functions, and the detection technology used is the same as that used in our more advanced thickness gauges. The sturdy and durable 27MG thickness gauge is powered by batteries and features a large backlit LCD screen that displays easy to interpret numbers. Its color coded keypad is simple and intuitive, allowing direct access to many key functions.

Its standard functions are as follows: automatic probe recognition that helps ensure probe optimization performance, automatic zero compensation that improves the accuracy of hot surface material measurement, gain adjustment that improves the measurement performance of materials with strong sound attenuation (such as cast metals), difference mode, high/low alarm settings, and the minimum/maximum thickness value mode that can obtain the minimum or maximum thickness value at a speed of 20 measurement values per second.

The standard configuration of the 27MG thickness gauge includes the economical and practical D7910 twin probe, which allows users to perform thickness measurement operations for many basic corrosion applications. Olympus also has a complete range of twin probe series products, which can measure extremely thin and thick materials, or small diameter pipe fittings. The Olympus probe compatible with the 27MG thickness gauge has an automatic probe recognition function, which can optimize the performance of the probe by automatically calling the default V-path correction.
