This instrument is used to determine the inherent stability of middle distillate fuel oil with an initial boiling point not lower than 175 ℃ and a 90% recovery temperature lower than 370 ℃. It refers to the ability of the sample to resist changes when exposed to the atmosphere in the absence of environmental factors such as water, active metal surfaces, and pollutants. Not applicable to fuel oils containing residual oil and synthetic fuel oils mainly composed of non petroleum components.
