overview
The OW-UAT100 series intelligent magnetostrictive liquid level transmitter is a high-precision displacement measurement sensor produced using the principle of magnetostriction. It has the advantages of high measurement accuracy, stability and reliability, long service life, exquisite structure, and strong environmental adaptability. The installation on the top of the oil tank does not require tank cleaning, making it safe, convenient, and fast.
The product is designed in accordance with the requirements of GB3836-2000 "Explosion proof Electrical Equipment for Explosive Environments". Suitable for precise measurement of liquid levels in containers for industries such as petroleum, chemical, food, and pharmaceuticals.
Working principle
The magnetostrictive liquid level sensor is designed based on the principle of magnetostriction, which consists of sensitive components such as waveguide wires (tubes), active magnets, and electronic components that emit electrical pulse signals and receive return signals. When the electric pulse generated by the pulse generator in the electronic probe is transmitted along the waveguide wire inside the steel pipe, the electric pulse is accompanied by the generation of a ring-shaped magnetic field perpendicular to the waveguide wire and transmitted along the waveguide wire at the speed of light. When the pulsed annular magnetic field meets the inherent magnetic field of the float, the magnetic field vectors of the two superimpose to form a helical magnetic field, generating instantaneous torque and forming a mechanical torque wave on the waveguide wire that is transmitted back to the electronic probe at the speed of sound, causing induced pulses at both ends of the coil. By measuring the time difference between the electric pulse and the induced pulse generated by the return of the torque wave, the height of the measured liquid level can be accurately calculated. Simultaneously placing the temperature sensor inside the measuring rod can continuously measure the temperature of the medium.

Installation: For the OW-UAT100 model, the length of the measuring rod under the installation flange should be confirmed to ensure that the end of the measuring rod is at least 2-10mm away from the bottom of the tank to prevent bending of the measuring rod, and the locking nut connecting the measuring rod to the flange should be tightened. In addition, it is necessary to confirm that the float and limit ring are assembled reliably. Then insert the liquid level transmitter into the detection hole and tighten the installation flange.
