3.3 Experimental Procedure Description
3.3.1Heat and melt the pre dehydrated sample, and the heating temperature should not exceed the estimated softening point of the sample90℃, time should not exceed30minMix thoroughly, sieve and inject into the sample dish. The height of the sample should exceed the expected penetration value10mmAnd cover the sample container to prevent dust from falling in. 3.3.2Place the sample dish that has reached a constant temperature into a constant temperature water bath and keep it warm1-1.5h(Small sample dish) or1.5-2h(Large sample dish), maintain water temperature25±0.5℃, the water surface should be higher than the sample surface25mmThe above.
3.3.3Adjust the asphalt penetration meter to make it level. Check the needle connecting rod and guide rail to confirm that there is no water or other foreign objects, and no obvious friction. Clean the standard needle with trichloroethylene or other solvents and wipe dry. Insert the standard needle into the needle connecting rod and secure it with screws.
3.3.4Place the flat bottomed insulated dish on the instrument workbench, and place the tripod in the flat bottomed insulated dish, which should be centered, and prepare enough temperature above25Inject clean water at ℃ into the insulated dish for use during the experiment.
3.3.5Take out the sample dish that has reached a constant temperature and transfer it to the water temperature controlAt the experimental temperature±0.1℃ (Unless otherwise specified, the test temperature is25On the triangular support of a flat bottomed glass dish with a temperature of (℃), the depth of the water layer above the surface of the sample shall not be less than10mm.
3.3.6Place the flat bottomed glass dish containing the sample on the platform of the penetrometer.
3.3.7Instrument operation
(1)Press the 'Menu' button to go to“① Falling time setting”Set the falling time(Unless otherwise specified, the time is5S).
(2)Slowly lower the needle connecting rod and observe with light until the needle tip is in direct contact with the surface of the sample.
(3)Press the "Auto" button, the displacement sensor will automatically reset, and the needle and connecting rod will be immediately released and automatically inserted into the sample. At the same time, the timer will start. Once the timer is up, it will automatically lock and display the depth value of the test needle inserted into the asphalt sample at this time.
(4)If the test is valid, press the "Confirm" button to confirm the test results.
(5)After pushing the needle connecting rod up to the detection position by hand, the next test can be carried out.
(6)Change the sample to a different position and repeat the above steps for the second timeAfter the third measurement, pressThe "Data" button displays three measurements and the average value on the monitor, record the value.
(7)After the experiment is completed, the power should be turned off first, and then the needle and needle linkage should be pushed upwards to reset. It is not allowed to reset first and then turn off the power.
