Product overview

Nasopharyngeal swabs consist of a swab cap, swab rod, swab cotton head, and swab tube body. The material of the swab rod is wood, PS, PP, or ABS. The swab sampling head is made of high-quality defatted cotton, artificial cotton or polyester fiber yarn, and can be customized with flocking swabs according to needs. The swab tube can be made of PE hose or PP material.

Usage

1. Method for collecting nasal swabs

(1) Wet the swab in physiological saline.

(2) Measure the distance from the nostril to the base of the ear with a swab and mark it with your fingers.

(3) Insert the swab vertically into the nostril (face) until the fingers touch the nose, allowing the swab to stay in the nose for 15-30 seconds, then gently rotate it 3 times.

(4) Take the swabplace intoVirus preservation solution orTransport the culture medium and break the swab rod to fully place it in the tube.

(5) Tighten the pipe cover, mark it properly, and seal it in a plastic bag.

(6) If collection is required from both nostrils, a swab should be used separately.

(7) At a temperature of 4 ℃save(Short term storage).

2. Method for collecting throat swabs

(1) Please ask the patient to rinse their mouth with saline solution first.

(2) Place the swab in sterile physiological saline (free of penicillin, etc. to prevent patient allergies) and moisten it (moisten)A swab can pick up more cells, viruses, and other microorganisms than a dry swab. Do not wet swabs in virus storage solutionMoisturizing swabs!

(3) Assisted by the examiner using a tongue depressor, the throat swab is passed over the base of the tongue to reach the lesion in the pharyngeal canalApply multiple times and avoid contact with the tongue and oral mucosa when removing.
