IIPurpose:

Mouse chin blood sampling and analysis

IIIUsage：

(1) Location: The small blood vessel bundle in the cheek area of mice and rats is located behind the mandible, where the orbital vein, mandibular vein, and other veins pass through the facial region of mice and rats, ultimately converging into the starting point of the jugular vein. Behind the jawbone, facing towards the ear.

(2) Insert a blood needle into the face of a mouse, and feel the jawbone during the puncture. However, try to avoid stabbing the jawbone as much as possible. Hold the mouse's neck and create a relaxed environment for the mouse. Grasp the skin between the mouse's shoulder and spleen bones, rather than the ears (which can cause distortion of the skin or facial blood vessels).

(3) Blood is collected from the puncture site, and when the blood is collected, sterile gauze is used to press down on the bleeding site for 10-30 seconds to stop bleeding. It is used in conjunction with a 1.5ml anticoagulant centrifuge tube.
