The working principle of the mining air door is mainly based on the opening and closing actions of the air door, as well as the blocking and regulating effect of the air door on the airflow.
1. Opening and closing of air doors: The opening and closing of air doors are usually achieved through manual operation or automatic control. In manual operation mode, personnel rotate the air door around the axis on the door frame by pushing or pulling the handle, lever, and other components on the air door, thereby achieving the opening and closing of the air door. In automatic control mode, after the sensor detects the proximity signal of personnel or vehicles, it sends instructions through the control system to drive the actuator such as the cylinder to automatically open the air door; After personnel or vehicles pass through, the control system sends another command to automatically close the air door.
2. Blockage and regulation of airflow by air door: When the air door is closed, it can block the airflow and provide isolation; When the air door is opened, the opening size can be adjusted as needed to control the air volume. The sealing performance and opening degree of the air door are key factors affecting its adjustment effect.


Structural characteristics of mining air door
The mining air door is composed of door frame, door leaf, locking device, sealing device, and accessories. The structural characteristics of each part are as follows:
1. * * Door frame * *: The door frame is the basic support structure of the air door, generally welded from steel plates, with high strength and rigidity. The size and shape of the door frame are determined according to the tunnel section and ventilation requirements.

It is usually made of steel plate or wood, covered with anti-corrosion materials on the surface to improve its service life. The thickness and weight of the door leaf are determined based on wind pressure and sealing requirements.
