Metal head

Metal head is a component of a container that can be divided into several types based on its geometric shape, including spherical, elliptical, disc-shaped, spherical crown shaped, conical shell, and flat cover. Among them, spherical, elliptical, disc-shaped, and spherical crown shaped heads are also collectively referred to as convex heads. In welding, it is divided into butt welding heads and socket welding heads.
A metal head is an end cap on a pressure vessel and is a major pressure bearing component of the vessel. Its function is sealing. One is to make the top and bottom of the tank shaped pressure vessel, and the other is that the pipeline has reached its end and is not ready to extend further, so a head is used to seal the pipe by welding. Products that have similar functions to the head include blind plates and pipe caps, but those two products can be disassembled. After the head is welded, it cannot be disassembled again. The matching fittings include pressure vessels, pipelines, flanges, elbows, and other products.
