Ion pair reagents are formed by strong hydrophilic ions that react with neutral ion pairs in the sample molecules Therefore, it can be used to simultaneously separate charged and non charged molecules
Generally applicable to all chromatographic stationary phases, the mobile phase should contain at least 10% water Otherwise, there is a risk of precipitation (especially when using acetonitrile) When using long-chain ion pair reagents, such as hexadecylammonium sulfate or sodium dodecyl sulfate, a reverse phase chromatography column will be selected as the chromatographic column
Short chain ion pair reagent: 5 × 1/10000mol/l
Long chain ion pair reagent: 5 × 1/100000mol/l
