Product Details

MYP Mining Cable Standard MT/T 818.5-2009 Inquiry

Coal mine underground cables are divided into multiple series based on their purpose, voltage level, and structural characteristics, mainly complying with national standards such as MT818 and GB12972. The following are common models and their technical characteristics:

1、 Communication signal cable

MHYV: Polyethylene insulated polyvinyl chloride sheathed communication cable, used for ordinary signal transmission (fixed laying).

MHYVP: Polyethylene insulated copper wire braided shielded polyvinyl chloride sheathed cable, suitable for strong electric field interference environments.

MHY32: Polyethylene insulated steel wire armored polyvinyl chloride sheathed cable, used for high mechanical strength scenarios such as vertical shafts and inclined shafts.

2、 Control cable

MKVV: PVC insulated PVC sheathed control cable, suitable for fixed laying control circuits.

MKVVRP: A soft control cable with copper wire shielding, used for signal transmission of mobile equipment such as coal mining machines.

3、 Rubber sheathed flexible cable

MCP: Shielded rubber sheathed flexible cable for coal mining machines, rated voltage 0.38/0.66kV, containing tin plated copper conductors.

MYP: Mobile shielded rubber sheathed cable, suitable for power connection of 0.66/1.14kV coal mining machine.

MYQ: Rubber sheathed cable for electric drills, with a voltage resistance of 0.3/0.5kV and a conductor cross-sectional area of 1.0-2.5mm2.

4、 Branch cable

MY type branch cable: main core 3-4 cores, branch line 2-3 cores, used for tunnel lighting scenes.

5、 Technical standards and naming conventions

Naming convention: The model consists of 8 parts, such as M (for coal mines), K (for control cables), V (for PVC insulation/sheath), P (for shielding), etc.

Execution standards: MT818.14-1999 (communication cable), GB12972.2-91 (rubber sheathed cable).

6、 Selection suggestions

Strong interference environment: Priority should be given to cables with shielding layers (such as MHYVP, MKVVRP) or armor (such as MHY32).

Mobile devices: require flexible cables (such as MYP, MYQ) with a bending radius of ≥ 6 times the outer diameter.

Safety certification: All mining cables must be certified with the MA mark.

6. The above data is for reference only. The final design and determination of the cable model and specifications should refer to relevant professional materials or electrician manuals. 7. It is strictly prohibited to throw cables or cable reels containing cables from a height during transportation, especially at lower temperatures (usually around 5 ℃ or below). Throwing or dropping cables may cause insulation and sheath cracking. 8. Avoid storing cables in an exposed manner in the open air as much as possible, and cable reels are not allowed to be laid flat. When lifting packaging, it is strictly prohibited to lift several plates at the same time. On vehicles, ships, and other transportation vehicles, cable reels should be secured using appropriate methods to prevent collisions or tipping over, in order to prevent mechanical damage to the cables. 10. Cables must not come into contact with acids, alkalis, and mineral oils, and must be stored separately from these corrosive substances There shall be no harmful gases that damage insulation or corrode metals in the warehouse where cables are stored. 11. During the storage period, cables should be rolled regularly (once every three months in summer, and may be extended at discretion in other seasons).
