Suitable for determining the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products (Newtonian liquids). The measurement method is: at a constant temperature, measure the time for a certain volume of liquid to flow through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer under the action of gravity. Multiply the capillary constant of the viscometer by the flow time to obtain the dynamic viscosity of the liquid at that temperature (the product of the dynamic viscosity and the liquid density at that temperature is the dynamic viscosity).
