METIS SURF 3D scannerCapable of capturing color information from various materials such as wooden boards, tanned leather, fabrics and textiles, ceramics, natural stone, wallpaper, artworks, etc. in less than 1 minute, and calculating 3D relief and glossiness information.
Unlike regular 3D scanners, SURF 3D provides highly customizable features for original illumination and 3D relief data (such as for 3D printing or embossing applications).
Therefore, SURF 3D ® The scanner and its eponymous software are particularly suitable for medium-sized digital printing applications that require color and 3D data, such as small art replication, customized phone cases, exquisite covers for restaurant menus, object wrapping with special materials, creative small objects, small batch production, proofing, etc; It is also suitable for medium-sized ceramic and wallpaper production applications; In the field of 3D rendering, it is used to capture material properties (such as diffuse mapping, bump mapping, etc.) in order to accurately reproduce material effects in CGI or CAD applications.
This scanner can generate high-resolution images with accurate colors and includes 3D depth maps (relief data) and glossiness maps (reflecting surface reflection characteristics).
The design of SURF 3D scanning software aims to provide a simple operating experience without sacrificing performance and image quality.
It also integrates METIS Light Inspector software, which allows designers to optimize color and relief data to meet specific output or usage needs.
Of particular note is that the scanner has a feature that allows for quick and efficient analysis and modeling of the printer's color characteristics without the need for specialized equipment.
