  How to choose the right manufacturer and filter for laboratory purification equipment?

  What kind of filter is good?


The performance of filters produced by different manufacturers varies greatly. Good manufacturers will choose an equilibrium point between adsorption and volatilization when producing filters. From a more professional perspective, the adsorption process of filters is a constantly balancing process. When reaching a certain point, the filter will release chemical molecules while adsorbing, which is similar to the process of dissolution and desorption.


So the adsorption capacity of the filter is a relative quantity, and its adsorption capacity depends on the "retention force" of the filter on chemical molecules. People with certain knowledge of chemistry know that the lifespan of a filter depends on the type of chemical it adsorbs and the amount of volatilization of the corresponding chemical, as well as the environment in which the filter is located, such as temperature and humidity. So it cannot be generalized that the lifespan of a filter is one year, which raises a crucial question of how to accurately determine the saturation time of the filter. If the filter is saturated and not detected or detected in a timely manner, it will immediately lead from safety to insecurity. Therefore, production-oriented enterprises must highlight online monitoring systems to accurately and timely inform customers.


  Why adjust the fan speed?


The argument that the fan speed cannot be adjusted is completely wrong. When the medicine cabinet leaves the factory, the manufacturer will adjust a certain speed according to the resistance of the filter to achieve a reasonable air volume. However, after the filter works for some time, it adsorbs a certain amount of chemical molecules, and its resistance increases. Due to the increase in resistance, when the fan speed remains at the original speed, its air volume will decrease and cannot meet the air volume requirements at the factory. At this time, it is necessary to increase the fan speed appropriately to meet the air volume requirements at the factory.
