1、 Working principle
Laboratory liquid nitrogen preparation systemThe working principle is based on air separation technology. Firstly, the ambient air is compressed to sufficient pressure through a compressor for the subsequent gas separation process. Next, the compressed air enters the air pretreatment system, which includes a cooler, dryer, and filter to cool the compressed air, remove moisture and impurities, and improve the air quality entering the separation tower. In a low-temperature distillation tower, oxygen, nitrogen, and a small amount of argon in compressed air are separated one by one through staged cooling and distillation processes. Due to the fact that nitrogen liquefies first at a specific temperature, the separation and liquefaction of nitrogen can be achieved by controlling the temperature. Finally, liquid nitrogen is stored in liquid nitrogen storage tanks for subsequent use.
2、 Components
Laboratory liquid nitrogen preparation systemIt mainly consists of the following parts:
1. Compressor: Used to compress ambient air to sufficient pressure.
2. Air pre-treatment system: including a cooler, dryer, and filter, used to remove moisture and impurities from compressed air.
3. Low temperature distillation tower: achieves nitrogen separation and liquefaction through staged cooling and distillation processes.
4. Heat exchanger: Recycling and reusing heat to improve the energy efficiency of the entire system.
5. Liquid nitrogen storage tank: It stores separated liquid nitrogen and has good insulation properties to reduce the natural evaporation loss of liquid nitrogen.
6. Control system: used to monitor and control the operation of the entire liquid nitrogen preparation system, ensuring the stability and safety of the system.
In addition, depending on specific application scenarios and requirements, the liquid nitrogen preparation system may also include other auxiliary equipment, such as liquid nitrogen filling equipment (including liquid nitrogen pumps and distribution pipelines), micro compressors, purification components, membrane separation technology, or pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology.

3、 Type
According to their scale and usage, they can be divided into two categories: large-scale liquid nitrogen factory equipment and small-scale liquid nitrogen generators.
1. Large scale liquid nitrogen factory equipment: mainly based on air separation technology, suitable for large-scale production of liquid nitrogen. These devices typically include components such as compressors, air pretreatment systems, low-temperature distillation columns, heat exchangers, liquid nitrogen storage tanks, and control systems.
2. Small liquid nitrogen generator: mainly used in laboratories or application scenarios, it has the characteristics of small size, easy operation, and easy maintenance. These devices typically use separation technologies such as membrane separation or pressure swing adsorption, which can directly extract high-purity nitrogen from the air and liquefy it through a low-temperature refrigeration system.
4、 Characteristics
It has multiple characteristics that make it have broad application prospects in various fields:
1. Efficient and energy-saving: By using separation technology and heat exchangers, heat can be recovered and reused, improving the energy efficiency of the entire system.
2. High purity nitrogen: Through distillation and separation processes, nitrogen with a purity of over 99.99% can be produced, meeting the requirements for nitrogen purity in various application fields.
3. Stable and reliable: By adopting a control system and a stable working mechanism, the stability and reliability of the system can be ensured, and it can work continuously for a long time.
4. Flexible and diverse: Depending on specific application scenarios and requirements, different types and scales of liquid nitrogen preparation systems can be selected to meet the needs of various fields for liquid nitrogen.
