A spring scale, also known as a spring force gauge, is a device that measures the magnitude of the applied force by using the proportional relationship between the deformation of the spring and the external force. Spring scales are divided into two types: pressure and tension. The pressure on the tray of the pressure spring scale is equal to the weight of the object, and the angle of rotation of the scale dial pointer indicates the value of the pressure applied. The lower end of the tension spring scale is connected to a hook (which is connected to the lower end of the spring), and the upper end of the spring is fixed on the ring at the top of the shell. Hang the test object on the hook, and the spring will elongate, while the pointer fixed on the spring will descend.
