1. No preloading or insufficient preloading

When the ball screw without preloading is placed vertically, the nut will rotate and slide down due to its own weight; A screw without preloading will have a considerable backlash, so it can only be used for machines with lower operating resistance, but the main concern is that the positioning accuracy is not required. Shangyin determines the correct preloading amount for different applications, and adjusts the preloading before top note; Therefore, please provide detailed instructions on the operation of the equipment before ordering ball screws.

2. Excessive torsional displacement

(1) The standard hardness for steel balls, nuts, and screws is HRC62~66, HRC58~62, and HRC56~62, respectively, due to improper heat treatment, thin hardening layer, uneven hardness distribution, or soft material.

(2) Improper design: The slender ratio is too large, and the smaller the slenderness ratio of the screw, the higher the stiffness. The limit of slenderness ratio must be below 60. If the slenderness ratio is too large, the screw will sag due to its own weight.
