Kawasaki KAWAKI contact type area flowmeter from Japan
The Kawasaki flowmeter NF-II belongs to the variable contact area flow switch. The following are its characteristics:
-Caliber and pressure resistance: The caliber is 3/8B-3B flange type, with a pressure resistance of 1.0MPa.
-Temperature range: The operating temperature is below 80 ℃.
-Contact capacity: 15A, 125VAC, 250VAC, or 480VAC; 0.5A、125VDC; 0.25A、250VDC。
-Material: The main materials include FC250, CAC406, SS400, SUS304, SUS316, SUS316L, etc. The main component materials include C3604B, SUS304, SUS316, SUS316L, etc.
It is mainly used for flow detection and confirmation of water (oil) cut-off and water (oil) reduction relays for cooling water, refueling volume, etc. The flow rate is reflected by the position change of the float in the fluid. When the flow rate reaches the set value, its variable contact will act, and the signal can be transmitted to the control system to achieve monitoring and control of the flow rate

routine inspection
-Appearance and installation: Check the appearance of the instrument for damage, whether the installation is loose, and whether there are leaks at the pipeline connections.
-Operating status: Observe whether the float moves smoothly, whether there is any jamming or abnormal shaking, and whether the indicator light or contact signal is normal.
regular maintenance
-Cleaning: Regularly clean the impurities and dirt inside the instrument and on the surface of the float (avoiding the use of corrosive cleaning agents) to prevent blockage or affect the sensitivity of the float (it is recommended to do so every 3-6 months according to the cleanliness of the medium).
-Calibration: Use a standard flow source to calibrate the set point, ensuring accurate contact action values (at least once a year, or adjusted according to usage frequency).
-Seal inspection: Check the sealing gasket at the flange or interface. If it is aged or damaged, it should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid leakage (especially in high-pressure or corrosive medium scenarios).
Precautions
-Power off operation: Cut off the power and fluid before maintenance, release pipeline pressure, and avoid working with electricity or pressure.
-Medium adaptation: Ensure that the temperature, pressure, viscosity, and other parameters of the measured medium do not exceed the rated range of the instrument to prevent component damage.
-Record archiving: Save maintenance and calibration records for easy tracking of instrument performance changes and timely detection of potential issues.
Through standardized maintenance, the service life of NF-II flowmeter can be extended, ensuring the accuracy and stability of flow detection and control functions.
