working principle:
Active sand filterThe operation can be divided into two relatively independent yet simultaneous processes: raw water filtration and filter material cleaning and regeneration. The two are completed at different positions on the same filter, with the former relying on high differential or pump lift for power, while the latter is accomplished through compressed air.
Raw water filtration
The raw water flows into the water distribution ring at the bottom of the filter from a high position, and gradually flows upward through the filter bed through the flow channel and conical distributor. Impurities in the raw water are continuously intercepted and adsorbed, and the final filtrate is discharged from the overflow weir at the top of the filter, completing the filtration process.
Filter cleaning and regeneration
The filtration process continues, and impurities in the raw water are constantly accumulated and trapped on the surface of the filter material, with the bottom of the filter material being the one that intercepts pollutants. The compressed air sand extraction device located at the bottom of the filter first delivers this part of the filter material in batches and quantitatively to the three-phase (water, air, and sand) separator at the top through the sand washing pipe. The air is discharged, and the water and sand then enter the connected sand washing device for cleaning. The sand washing water is discharged through a separate pipeline, and the cleaned sand is redistributed to the entire surface of the filter bed, achieving the process of cleaning and circulating the filter material.
