Product Overview

Electric motors are the core equipment in industrial production, and their safe operation is crucial. Insulation measurement, as an effective means of evaluating the insulation performance of motors, is of great significance for preventing motor failures and extending their service life. According to industry standards and recommendations, it is recommended to conduct insulation testing after the motor has been shut down for more than 24 hours.
At present, insulation testing involves a large amount of manual work, such as disconnecting wires and shaking insulation. The entire process is complex, requires high strength, and takes a long time. Meanwhile, the detection data requires manual recording and lacks information and monitoring systems, making it difficult to process and analyze the data.

Product features

■ Insulation monitoring function. Insulation monitoring can be carried out on non electrified TN, TT, and IT systems to monitor the insulation condition of phase lines or windings to ground. When the insulation resistance value is below the alarm threshold, the staff will be reminded to troubleshoot.
■ Warning and alarm function. It has 2 sets of independently adjustable settings, which can set warning and alarm values.
■ LED indicator light function. The panel has LED indicators for operation, communication, warning, alarm, and fault, which can display the product status.
LCD display function. Adopting a 128 * 32 dot matrix LCD display, parameter information can be displayed.
PK disconnection monitoring function. It can monitor the connection status between PE, KE and the grounding terminal. When any connecting wire is disconnected from the grounding terminal, the product emits an alarm signal.
Remote self checking function. Equipped with one input terminal, it can be connected to an external switch and closed for remote self-test.
■ Relay output function. It has 2 DO outputs, corresponding to insulation alarm and warning. The DO output can be connected to normally open (N/O, the same below) or normally closed (N/C, the same below) contacts.
Event recording function. It can record 20 alarm messages, including the type of fault and the time of occurrence, making it convenient for staff to troubleshoot.
Remote communication function. The product has one RS485 interface and adopts Modbus RTU protocol for data exchange.
Self check and reset functions. The product has a self check function, which allows you to long press the "return/self check" button; The product has a reset function. When the reset mode is set to manual, it will remain in a fault state after an alarm, and long press the ▲ key is required to reset.
■ Measurement protection function. The measured voltage of the product is DC24V, and the measured current is less than 200 μ A, which will not cause electric shock to the operator.
■ Rail installation. The product is installed using standard 35mm guide rails.
■ Plug and unplug terminals. The product adopts plug-in terminal wiring, which is convenient for wiring and installation.

Note: According to the standard requirements, the insulation level is required to be 1M Ω/1kV. Common 380V systems generally require a resistance higher than 0.5M Ω, and the instrument measurement range is 20M. Therefore, the applicable range is marked as within 690V.

The AIM-OL offline system insulation monitoring instrument is installed on a standard 35mm guide rail, as shown in the installation diagram below.

Upper row terminals: U1 and U2 (1, 2) terminals are auxiliary power interfaces for insulation monitoring instruments; Connect the L (4) terminal to the monitored phase line or any winding. The PE and KE (28, 29) terminals are instrument function grounding terminals and need to be connected to the on-site equipotential grounding terminal block separately; The TEST and COM3 (11, 12) terminals are DI inputs, defined as testing functions, which can be connected to button switches and closed for self checking once.

Bottom row terminals: A and B (15, 16) terminals are respectively RS485 communication A and B line interfaces, used for communication with the upper computer; NC1, COM1, and NO1 (21, 22, 23) are alarm relay outputs, NC2, COM2, and NO2 (24, 25, 26) are warning relay outputs, NC is a normally closed contact, NO is a normally open contact, and COM is a common contact. The relay output can be connected to an external buzzer or sound and light alarm. The relay is a passive output and requires an external power supply.
