Collection of serum

result interpretation

positive result

If the experiment is positive, both the quality control band and the experimental band appear, as shown in the figure1A positive result indicates the detection of antibodies against Leishmania donovani. A weak color band is also a positive result. As an explanatory guide, the color intensity of the red band in the experimental area is related to the concentration of anti Leishmania antibodies. The experimental band is a "weakly positive" serum sample, and the experimental result may be between a weakly positive red band and a red dot, with almost a white background ("weakly positive" samples contain low affinity or low titer antibodies to recombinant antigens).

Negative result

If the experiment is negative, only the quality control tape appears. A negative result indicates that no antibodies against Leishmania donovani were detected. No experimental tape appeared.
