1. When the handle is between Load and Inject, the pressure in the flow path suddenly increases due to temporary blockage. Turning to the injection position again, excessive pressure impact on the column head can cause damage, so the valve should be rotated as soon as possible and should not stay in the middle.
2. The syringe needle is different from gas chromatography, it is a flat head syringe.
Advantages of flat needle tip:
A: The outer side of the needle is tightly attached to the inner side of the sealing gasket, with good sealing performance, no leakage of liquid, and no introduction of air.
B: Prevent needle from puncturing the sealing gasket and scratching the stator.
Attention should be paid to selecting high-quality liquid chromatography specific syringes.
3. There are two types of liquid filling methods: partial liquid filling method and * liquid filling method.
A: When using the partial liquid loading method for injection, the maximum injection volume is 75% of the volume of the quantitative ring.
B: When using the liquid loading method for injection, the minimum injection volume should be 3 to 5 times the volume of the quantitative ring. This is the only way to replace the residual solution in the quantitative ring.
4. The quantitative ring can be selected according to the needs of the injection volume, and precise calculation of the volume of the quantitative ring is generally not required. For example, it is not important whether a nominal 10uL quantitative ring is actually 9uL or 11uL, because the injection volume of the measured sample and the calibration sample remains the same, and errors are offset in the calculation results.
5. The sample solution should be filtered through a filter membrane. Prevent particle blockage of the valve and reduce wear on the valve.
6. The injector should be rinsed after daily use, usually with an appropriate organic solvent, water, or a salt free mobile phase, and repeatedly rinsed at the load and inject positions of the valve.
7. Pay attention to wiping the outside of the syringe needle. Prevent cross contamination.
