Instructions for using Mini Ligno E/D moisture content tester

Before measurement, remove the green protective cover to expose the pins and the black switch between the two pins. Attach the protective cover to the other end of the meter as a handle, making it easier to insert the meter into the wood. Insert the pin into the tested wood to obtain a reading. Insert the plug into the wood, the black switch will automatically press, and the red number will display the moisture content reading. Use the long needle inside the back cover to measure deeper depths. The moisture content reading is the percentage reading of the wood at 70 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius), such as at higher or lower temperatures, using the calibration table in the instruction manual. The commonly used wood species and corresponding wood groups have been listed in the table. If any wood species are not listed, please contact Ligenomat.

Check/change wood grouping settings: Wait for the water meter to shut down. Then double-click the switch button between the two needles with your hand, and the red LED will display Wood Group 2 or Wood Group 3. When the wood grouping is displayed, click the key again to change the wood grouping. Before measuring again, wait for the water meter to shut down. When the LED light dims, replace the 9V battery. Unscrew the screws on the back cover and open the back cover.
