【 Main Ingredients 】

A solution: water, multiplex fluorescein, potassium hydroxide β-D-glucan binding protein；

B solution: water, multiplex fluorescein, peptidoglycan recognition protein.

Fresh or frozen tissue sections, sputum, body fluids, secretions, and shed cells samples

1) Apply a sample evenly on both ends of the same glass slide, let it air dry naturally, and wait for testing;

2) Drop a drop of solution A onto one end of the glass slide, and a drop of solution B onto the other end of the glass slide. Cover the slide with a cover and gently press the slide (avoiding the formation of bubbles as much as possible) to allow the dye solution to fully bind with the sample.

3) Stain for a few seconds, use absorbent paper to remove excess dye around the slide, and observe under a fluorescence microscope.

4) The sample dropped with solution A is placed under UV band to observe for the presence of fungi, while the sample dropped with solution B is placed under B band to observe for the presence of bacteria, trichomonas, and cells.

Explanation of Inspection Results

Under UV band, the morphology of the pathogen observed is fungi, while under B band, typical morphology of the pathogen observed is bacteria and trichomonas. If no fluorescence or typical morphology of the pathogen is observed, it indicates that the sample does not have any pathogen.

Limitations of Inspection Methods

1. The reagent kit should be used in a qualified and safe laboratory to prevent cross contamination.

2. Try to avoid strong light during operation to avoid affecting the fluorescent reagent.

3. After long-term storage of stained specimens, the staining effect may be weakened due to fluorescence quenching. It is recommended to use this product for counterstaining before reusing the specimens, following the same steps as staining.
