IFM air flow meterThe installation must follow the following specifications to ensure measurement accuracy and equipment safety:

1、 Preparation before installation

Pipeline condition inspection

Ensure that the upstream straight pipe section is ≥ 20DN (inner diameter of the pipeline) and the downstream straight pipe section is ≥ 5DN, avoiding interference sources such as elbows and valves.

The pipeline needs to be kept clean, with no dents, deposits or other defects on the inner wall.

Adaptation of medium characteristics

The fluid should be filled in the pipeline without bubbles. If there is pulsating flow, it is recommended to install a buffer.

Attention should be paid to the temperature and pressure of the medium, and protective measures such as vertical installation and waterproof treatment should be taken in high temperature or high pressure environments.

2、 Installation steps

Connection method

Use flange or threaded connections to ensure sealing.

If dismantling the pipeline is required, a bypass pipeline should be installed outside the straight pipe sections at both ends of the sensor.

Direction and position

The fluid direction should be consistent with the sensor arrow. When installing horizontally, ensure that the transmitter part is installed vertically downwards or sideways.

Avoid strong magnetic field interference, and if it cannot be avoided, shielding measures should be taken.

Installation details

When installed vertically, the medium flows from bottom to top; When installing horizontally, it is necessary to be in the high-pressure area of the system and the outlet cannot be directly vented.

Sensors should be installed upstream of regulating valves and pressure/temperature sensors to avoid interference from pipeline branching points.

3、 Precautions

The bypass pipeline is convenient for maintenance and avoids affecting normal transportation.

Regularly clean the sensor to ensure measurement accuracy.

Safety Specifications

Qualified personnel are required to operate and ensure the sealing of the pipeline.

Suitable models (such as explosion-proof and corrosion-resistant) should be selected based on the characteristics of the medium.
