Introduction	HCC1569 is an epithelial cell line isolated from the breast of a 70 year old black female with metaplastic carcinoma. The patient has a germline mutation in the FHIT gene, and her daughter also carries the mutation. This cell line was launched in 1995 and took 19 months to establish. The patient had received hua therapy before and had no family history of breast cancer. The tumor is classified as TNM stage IV grade 3 metaplastic carcinoma, with 4 out of 18 lymph nodes having metastasis. Poor cell differentiation. The expression of Her2 neu in cells is positive, while the expression of p53 is negative. HCC1569 epithelial cell specific markers are positive for glycoprotein 2 (EGP2) and cytokeratin 19. Through immunohistochemical detection, the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) in cells were both negative, but low levels of PR expression could be detected through cytoplasmic protein assay.
