High purity tangerine peel extract, also known as Chuanpiting, is a white powder belonging to the flavonoid class. It has anti blood cell agglutination, anti thrombosis, anti-cancer, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and anti allergic effects. It is a carbohydrate metabolism enhancer and is soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, acetic acid, dilute alkaline solutions, and hot water. At room temperature, its solubility in water is 0.1%, and it can reach 10% at 75 ℃. Insoluble in non-polar solvents such as petroleum ether, benzene, and chloroform.
