The metal coating of the sample is a section of metal conductor. According to Ohm's law, the resistance value of the metal coating of the specified length and width of the sample is measured, and the thickness of the metal coating is represented by the block resistance or directly calculated. The standard also specifies the thickness measurement device for vacuum metal coatings, requiring the resistance measurement error to be no greater than ± 51%, the measuring width of the device shall not be less than 100m.
