Standard live cell loading platform. Continuous and long-term observation (more than 3 days) is achieved through humidity, temperature, and CO2 control.

Dual turntable confocal system

Using Yokogawa Electric's proprietary multi-point scanning method, 1000 laser beams are used to scan the target field of view at high speed through a series of rotating double disks. These turntables consist of a pinhole array turntable (with approximately 20000 pinholes arranged in a helical pattern of equal pitch) and a microlens array turntable that focuses the excitation laser into a single pinhole. This not only enables high-speed imaging, but also largely prevents phototoxicity and fluorescence bleaching.

Immersion lenses are adept at capturing high-resolution images of cells in liquids. CV8000 can be equipped with 40x or 60x immersion lenses. The Yokogawa 40x lens is a special lens that can perform highly spherical aberration correction, allowing for the capture of bright high-resolution images across the entire wide-angle range. The water supply for the lenses has also been automated. This device can achieve high content screening through a water immersed lens.

High precision incubator and automatic pipette

The live cell stage adopts a closed structure, which can control humidity, temperature, and CO2 levels. The automatic pipette can fully automate the following pipetting operations: insert the pipette tip → aspirate reagents from the reagent plate → add reagents to the sample plate → remove the pipette tip. This not only enables rapid acquisition of images before and after reagent infusion, but also allows for multiple additions of reagents and adjustment of addition rates in a single well, thereby expanding the detection mode of kinetic research.


Deeper and clearer observation

Pinhole rotary disc exchanger

Two different types of pinhole turntables (25/50 μ m) can be used based on the sample. For thick samples, reducing the pinhole diameter can obtain finer and clearer images. For darker samples, increasing the pinhole diameter can make the image brighter.


Higher throughput screening

Optical configuration

The optical system configuration can be selected according to the purpose. A 96 well plate can complete imaging of four colors in one minute by connecting four high-sensitivity wide field SCMOS cameras. The system also supports FRET and CellPainting detection.
