Sample preprocessing

Before measurement, the acidity and alkalinity of the test sample should be checked. Alkaline samples can interfere with the reaction system. The pH of the test sample should be adjusted to neutral before measurement.

Precautions during the measurement process

① When the content of iron, vanadium, molybdenum, and mercury in water samples is too high, it will produce interfering substances, and it is not recommended to use this method for determination;

②Reagent 2 should be sealed and stored after preparation, and should be stopped from use when the color darkens; The validity period of reagent 2 is relatively short after preparation. To facilitate experimental arrangements, a bottle is included as a backup, and each bottle can complete at least 60%Measurement of individual samples;

③ Hexavalent chromium ions are toxic heavy metal ions, and safety should be taken into account and protective measures should be taken during the measurement process;

④If the absorbance value exceeds the linear range of the standard absorbance value, it is recommended to dilute the sample with distilled water before measuring if it is higher than the highest value. If it is lower than the low value, it is recommended to concentrate the sample or increase the sample size before measuring. The calculation should be modified accordingly;

⑤To ensure accurate results and avoid reagent loss, please carefully read the instructions before testing (based on the actual received instructions), confirm whether the reagent storage and preparation are sufficient, whether the operating steps are clear, and be sure to take 2-3For samples with significant expected differences, please contact the staff promptly if there are any issues during the pre testing process.
