2. In terms of measurement methods, they are also different. When using contact heat flow sensors, they should be attached or buried in the object being measured, such as measuring heat flow in building materials, pipelines, skin, soil, etc. The selection of this type of heat flow sensor mainly depends on the application scenario, which determines the measurement temperature and sensor size.
Non contact heat flux sensors are located at a certain distance from the object being measured, measuring both radiative and convective heat flux; This type is generally divided into total heat flux sensors and pure radiation heat flux sensors. The total heat flux sensor includes radiative heat flux and convective heat flux; Pure radiation heat flux sensors only measure radiation heat flux, and usually install a window on the total heat flux sensor to shield convective heat flux.

Contact type heat flow sensor - Switzerland's GSkin series XM269C and our company's produced heat flow sensor - PTT-30 are two outstanding quality heat flow sensors. These two heat flow sensors are suitable for direct measurement of heat flow inside materials, as well as measurement of radiation flow of refrigerants. There are three types of heat conduction modes for testing principles: heat conduction, heat radiation, and heat flow. If the heat flow sensor is placed on the surface of the material, it will test the sum of these three modes of heat. If the sensor is placed inside the material, it directly tests the heat transfer generated by thermal conduction. By using thermocouples to test different temperatures, the heat flux passing through can be directly measured.
