Clamping force test fixture model - YY/T 1932-2024

The clamping force test fixture model in YY/T 1932-2024 is a key tool used to test the mechanical properties of membrane type non bracket orthodontic appliances. Its structure and dimensions must comply with the normative requirements of Appendix A.2 of the standard to ensure consistency and comparability of the test results.

The core design points of this fixture model include:

Structural compatibility: The fixture needs to be accurately aligned with the circular grooves (points A and B) on both sides of the front teeth on the standard 3D printed dental model to ensure that the force position is consistent with the clinical wearing state;

Adjustable: The position of one side fixture can be fine tuned, and with the help of a force measuring device, precise pressurization can be achieved;

Force measurement accuracy: The accuracy of the connected force measuring device shall not be less than 0.01N, and the position adjustment accuracy shall not be less than 0.02mm, meeting the requirements of high-precision testing;

Test conditions: The test should be conducted in a constant temperature (37 ± 1 ℃) and humidity environment. The sample should be soaked in distilled water for 24 hours before testing to simulate the effect of oral environment on material properties.

The testing conducted through this fixture model mainly evaluates two key indicators:

Initial clamping force (F ₀): peak force recorded after applying 0.5mm compression displacement;

Continuous clamping force (F): The clamping force that can be maintained after 72 hours of continuous loading, with a standard requirement of F ≥ 30% F ₀ to ensure the continuity of the orthodontic process
