Product Details

Global Water GW WE550 Wind Speed Sensor Anemometer

The Global Water WE550 wind speed sensor is made of high impact materials, ensuring its durability and robustness even in harsh weather conditions. It accurately responds to subtle changes in wind speed. The wind speed transmitter is a 25 foot marine grade cable with a maximum length of 500 feet.
The output of WE550 is 4-20 mA with dual wire configuration. The electronic device of the wind speed transmitter isAll encapsulated in rubber sleeves made of marine grade epoxy resin.
Global Water's PC320 wind speed alarm and controller use WE550 sensorsOutput to trigger the motor and alarm. In addition, Global Water provides GL500 wind speedThe recorder adds recording capability to the WE550 wind speed indicator. GL500 wind speed recorder connectedReceive 4-20 mA output from the anemometer and record the data.

Why measure wind speed?
Wind speed is an important weather parameter that can be monitored and recorded in many applications, includingElephant studies, aviation, shipping, industry, architecture, etc. Some of the more common applications are prediction andSupport weather forecast, determine safe operation of industrial cranes and elevators for mechanical equipment, estimate wind speedEfficiency, navigation, and safe operation of power plants in the shipping industry, aircraft safety, wastewater, and garbageLandfill odor control, etc.
Wind speed is determined by the area between a pressure gradient or wind front, where air moves towards a low-pressure systemCaused by. The steeper the slope, the stronger the wind. In addition, wind speed is determined by many other factorsIncluding Coriolis effect, friction force, and land topography. In the United States, wind speed is usually measured in secondsReport in meters or miles per hour. For the shipping or rowing industry, wind speed can be measured in knotsUnit report (one knot equals 1 nautical mile per hour or approximately 1.15 miles per hour or approximately 0.5 meters per second).
