German Fischer Magnetic Induction Coating Thickness Gauge DMP10 replaces FMP10:
Helmut Fischer/Fischer, GermanyDELTASCOPE DMP10 can measure coating thickness non destructively using magnetic induction method. The premise is a ferromagnetic substrate, such as steel or iron. On the other hand, the coating must be non-magnetic. Therefore, this method is suitable for measuring coatings such as zinc and chromium, as well as paint and plastic layers.
Measuring principle
The probe used for magnetic induction measurement consists of an iron core and an excitation coil surrounding it. Low frequency AC current passes through this coil (usually in the Hertz range). This will generate an alternating magnetic field around the magnetic poles of the iron core.
DELTASCOPE ®
Measuring the thickness of non ferromagnetic coatings on ferromagnetic metal substrates
Application example:
NC/Fe: Paint, varnish or plastic on steel or iron
NF/Fe: Zinc, chromium, or copper on steel or iron
Measurement method: Magnetic induction measurement method
