TORRIX mainly works based on the principle of magnetostriction measurement. There is a magnetostrictive wire inside the probe, and with the help of the sensing circuit of the microprocessor controller, current pulses are emitted along the magnetostrictive wire to generate a circular magnetic field around it. There is a set of permanent magnet steel inside the float, and its magnetic field magnetizes the magnetostrictive wire along the axial direction. A twisting pulse will be generated at the superposition of two magnetic fields. And convey it to the sensor.

These two models of magnetostrictive level gauges are designed for high temperature+450 ℃, low temperature -200 ℃, and high pressure 12MPa! The length of the cable type soft cable is 22m, and the length of the pole type probe can reach 6m (mainly considering transportation limitations), with a probe length as short as 100mm. The protection level is IP68, and the accuracy can reach ± 0.3mm, with a standard accuracy of ± 0.5mm and a splitting rate of 0.1m. Both have ByPass models equipped with magnetic flap level gauges.

There are usually two installation methods for magnetostrictive level gauges used in conjunction with magnetic flip plates, one is to directly insert them into the measuring cylinder of the magnetic flip plate TORRIX model. Another type is the BYPASS model tied to the outside of the measuring cylinder, which utilizes the magnetic field coupling between the float inside the measuring cylinder floating with the liquid level and the magnetostrictive level gauge probe tied outside the measuring cylinder. The signal is transmitted remotely through the magnetostrictive level gauge, and the liquid level is displayed on site through the magnetic flip plate and magnetic flip column.
