The measurement principle is based on the presence of regular vortices downstream of the barrier, known as the "vortex street phenomenon", such as in the gap between bridge piers.

Therefore, the baffle in each vortex flowmeter is located behind the baffle after the pipeline flow velocity reaches the value, forming a vortex that separates from the fluid and is transmitted to the downstream pipeline. The vortex frequency is proportional to the average flow velocity, that is, proportional to the volumetric flow rate.

The vortices that detach from both sides of the gear alternately generate positive and negative pressure. The capacitive sensor detects the pressure, generates an electrical signal, and converts it into a digital linear signal that is transmitted to electronic components.
