Overview

Vortex is a flexible control system from Kolkon that can be customized according to customer on-site needs without the need for extensive and complex wiring. There are four installation methods for Vortex: wall mounted, 19 inch rack mounted, non-standard panel mounted, and Exd explosion-proof (Vortex FP). Vortex rack and panel installations include basic input, output, and controller modules, all of which are mounted on DIN rails. An optional display module is installed on the front panel or 19 inch rack mounted control cabinet. This configuration can be perfectly integrated with various specialized enclosures, such as 19 inch cabinets or protection levels. Vortex FP meets ATEX explosion-proof certification and is used in Class 1 and 2 hazardous areas, such as offshore platforms and refineries. Vortex FP has all the features of Vortex, such as the RS-485 Modbus communication protocol, for remote calibration and configuration without opening the lid. Vortex FP magnetic switch allows for system inspection and debugging without opening the instrument casing.
