Product Introduction

The WVTR-AE1 electrolytic water vapor permeability tester is suitable for measuring the water vapor permeability of high barrier materials such as plastic films, aluminum foil plastic films, waterproof materials, and metal foils. Expandable test bottles, bags, and other containers.

Test Principle

Using the principle of electrolytic sensor testing, nitrogen with stable relative humidity flows on one side of the film, while dry nitrogen flows on the other side of the film; Due to the presence of humidity gradient, water vapor will diffuse through the film from the high humidity side to the low humidity side; On the low humidity side, the water vapor passing through is carried to the sensor by the flowing dry nitrogen gas. When entering the sensor, an electrical signal of the same proportion is generated. By analyzing and calculating the electrical signal of the sensor, parameters such as the water vapor transmission rate of the sample can be obtained. For packaging containers, dry nitrogen gas flows inside the container while the outside of the container is in a high humidity state.
