Overview

The freezing point osmotic pressure tester BS-100Y is a measuring instrument used to determine the osmotic concentration (also known as osmotic pressure concentration) of a solution. BS-100Y is an improvement and enhancement of FM-8P and BS-88. The product fully implements the GB4793.1-2007 standard and YY0648-2008 special requirements for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical equipment in terms of safety content development.

Freezing point osmotic pressure tester BS-100YIt is designed based on the principle of freezing point descent, which uses the freezing point descent of solutions to indirectly determine the osmotic pressure molar concentration of various biological fluids. Various biological fluids can usually be regarded as solutions composed of water as a solvent and various electrolytes and non electrolytes closely related to body metabolism. Although the composition of substances inside and outside the cell is not exactly the same, the osmotic pressure inside and outside the cell is the same, and maintaining a certain osmotic pressure in body fluids is one of the important conditions for the relative stability of the intramuscular environment.

In pharmaceutical factories and biologics: it can be applied in pharmacological analysis of traditional Chinese medicine; Development, production, and monitoring of drugs and reagents. The Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (2015 edition) further includes the determination of osmotic pressure molar concentration as a newly added regulatory testing method.

In universities and research institutes, the determination of osmotic pressure has also been widely applied in teaching chemistry and biophysics, as well as in scientific research and production in industries such as agricultural soil, plant physiology, animal husbandry, aquatic product selection, health products, and alcoholic beverages.

The BS-100Y freezing point osmometer, a technology that won the (Class A) Science and Technology Achievement Award from the Ministry of Health in 1980, was transformed by the company's general manager in 1979. Currently, hundreds of applied papers have been published in domestic and foreign journals. The BS-100 freezing point osmometer is the crystallization of five generations of product updates over the past thirty years.
