Overview

Fluorescence Spectrometer Aqualog Water Environment Research Analyzer

Product Details

Not just a fluorescence spectrometer for EEMs scanning, but a fluorescence spectrometer that combines A-TEEM technology for faster and better analysis of colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM)

HORIBA Aqualog is a fluorescence spectrometer that serves as the gold standard for studying colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) in water environment research.

Aqualog is designed to meet the needs of water environment researchers around the world who use fluorescence spectroscopy to study CDOM. At that time, researchers used traditional scanning fluorescence spectrometers to obtain a three-dimensional matrix of fluorescence excitation and emission spectra, called excitation emission matrix (EEM). The scanning speed was very slow, sometimes taking an hour to collect an EEM spectrum, which tied the researchers to the experimental bench for a whole day. HORIBA Aqualog greatly improves the speed of collecting fluorescent EEM and automatically performs internal filtering effect correction, expanding the dynamic range of EEM fluorescence fingerprint quantification. At the same time, the obtained absorption spectrum can be used for absorbance and color analysis of non fluorescent molecules present in water. We refer to the technology used by Aqualog as Absorption Transmission Excitation Emission Three Dimensional Matrix, or A-TEEMTM.

Today, Aqualog has been used in some well-known water environment research laboratories, and due to its strong stability, it can be brought to remote areas for research on various important topics.
