The DUALSCOPE measuring instrument can easily, quickly, and non destructively measure coating thickness, and has the same accuracy as all Fischer instruments.
The shape and magnetic permeability of the sample have a relatively small impact on the measurement results. This instrument has a conductivity compensation function for non-magnetic substrates.
According to the measurement specifications of IMO PSPC (90/10 Rule) and SSPC-PA2, two special measurement modes with appropriate preset values are helpful for measuring anti-corrosion coatings.
The compact size, sturdy and durable instrument design, and lightweight weight make it an ideal choice for on-site applications. Two LCD displays allow reading of measurement values from various measurement positions.
By using the accompanying FISCHER DataCenter software, measurement data can be transmitted to a PC and easily and quickly evaluated. Custom inspection reports can be created, printed, and archived. In addition, each instrument comes with a manufacturer's certificate.

| measurement method | Magnetic induction method (ISO 2178, ASTM D7091, Measurement of non-magnetic coatings on magnetic substrates); Eddy current method (ISO 2360, ASTM D7091, Measurement of non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic base metals); Automatically select the measurement method corresponding to the substrate. |
| probe | probetopRadius: 2 millimeters (78 miles); Probe material: Hard alloy |
| data storage | *10000 high readings; Even without a battery, the contents of the memory can be retained |
| Measurement frequency | More than 70 measurements per minute |
| Measurement and collection | Automatically after placing the probe; The beep sound and green LED indicate the measured value |
| Display out of limit value | Visualize through 2 short beeps and visualize through red LED |
| display | Two LCD displays can read measurement values even in difficult instrument positions (such as overhead) |
| USB port | 2.0 compatible, used for connecting to PC |
| data transmission | Single reading, average value, group separator |
| Allowable ambient temperature range during operation | 0 . ... +40 °C (32 ... +104 °F) |
| Weight (including battery) | MP0R: 137 g (4.8 oz) MP0R-FP: 184 g (6.5 oz) |
| Dimensions (width x depth x height) | Width: 64 millimeters (2.5 inches); Depth: 28 millimeters (1.1 inches); Height: 85 millimeters (3.35 inches) |
| power supply | battery LR6,AA,1.5 V |
| Split program size | Each block can be adjusted between 2 to 20 single readings |
| tolerance range | Adjustable, depending on the selected measurement mode |
| compensation value | In standard mode, adjustable offset values can be automatically subtracted from the measured values. Therefore, for example, in the case where the intermediate coating is known, the thickness of the top coating can be obtained. |
| unit of measurement | Optional μ m or mil |
| Continuous display mode | Measure in 'continuous display mode' to continuously sample surfaces, such as during the manufacturing of tanks and containers. |
| standardization | Adapt to the base material and sample shape |
| calibration | Factory calibration Each individual instrument has been calibrated at several reference points in the factory, and extra care should be taken to ensure the highest possible accuracy. Calibration (adjustment) Use calibration foil to adapt to the shape and thickness values of the substrate and sample |
