Product Details

Stefan Mayer from GermanyFerromaster digital permeability meter

FERROMASTER digital permeability tester is a compact handheld instrument used to measure materials and workpieces with low permeability μ, with a measurement range from 1.001 to 1.999. The measurement method is to use a sensor head to contact the surface of the workpiece, and the measurement value can be directly read from the LC display screen. Just press a button to automatically zero. If the operator presses the activation display lock function, the read measurement value can be immediately "locked". The permeability probe includes a small permanent magnet that attracts the test sample to the permeability probe. Two sensitive magnetic field induction probes are used to test the magnetic force curve of the magnetized sample. The permeability tester has undergone strict inspection and calibration by the National Physical Laboratory in the UK, and has high accuracy and stability. Calibration can be easily performed, and each instrument comes with a standard calibration block made of low magnetic permeability material at the factory to verify accuracy.

The physical meaning of magnetic permeability is to represent the ratio of magnetic induction intensity to magnetic field intensity in a magnetic medium. Divided into excellent magnetic permeability and relative magnetic permeability, they are physical quantities that characterize the magnetic permeability of a magnetic medium. The commonly used symbol μ represents the magnetic permeability of the medium, also known as excellent magnetic permeability. The magnetic permeability μ is equal to the ratio of the magnetic induction intensity B to the magnetic field intensity H in the magnetic medium, that is, μ=B/H
The commonly used method is the relative magnetic permeability μ r of a magnetic medium, which is defined as the ratio of the magnetic permeability μ to the vacuum magnetic permeability μ 0, that is, μ r=μ/μ 0. The relationship between the relative magnetic permeability μ r and the magnetic susceptibility chi is: μ r=1+chi
Magnetic permeability μ, relative magnetic permeability μ r, and magnetic susceptibility xm are physical quantities that describe the magnetic properties of a magnetic medium.
For paramagnetic materials with μ r>1; For diamagnetic materials with μ r<1, but their μ r values are almost the same as 1. In most cases, the relative magnetic permeability of a conductor is equal to 1. In ferromagnetic materials, the relationship between B and H is a nonlinear hysteresis loop, where μ r is not a constant and is related to H, with values much greater than 1.
For example, if the magnetic permeability of air (non-magnetic material) is 1, then the magnetic permeability of ferrite is 10000, which means that when compared, the magnetic flux density passing through the magnetic material is 10000 times.

Formula involving magnetic permeability:
The energy density of a magnetic field is B ^ 2/2 μ m
In the International System of Units (SI), the relative magnetic permeability μ r is a dimensionless pure number, and the unit of magnetic permeability μ is Henry per meter (H/m).
Commonly used formula for vacuum magnetic permeability μ 0

Ferromaster数显磁导率仪

Initial magnetic permeability μ i: refers to the magnetic permeability of the basic magnetization curve at H0
*Large magnetic permeability μ m: After the initial section of the basic magnetization curve, as H increases, the slope μ=B/H gradually increases. At a certain magnetic field strength (Hm), the magnetic density reaches a maximum value (Bm), that is, the saturation magnetic permeability μ S: the magnetic permeability in the saturation section of the basic magnetization curve, with a generally small value of μ s. When the depth is saturated, μs=μo。
