Used to determine the ferrite content of austenitic and duplex steels, and to determine the proportion of deformed martensite in austenitic materials.

Storage, transportation, and calibration specifications
Normalize and calibrate the instrument using basic and calibration standards (ferrite standards).
The correct calibration specification is an important prerequisite for accurate calibration and therefore stopping correct measurement.
Please adhere to the following content to ensure the correct conditions of calibration specifications:
In order to minimize the wear of the base and calibration specifications during contact measurement, please only use them for calibration and not for testing measurement!
Do not dirty or scratch the calibration specifications!
Replace corroded or scratched calibration standards or standards with undamaged clean standards.
To avoid contamination or damage to calibration standards, please store them in the accompanying packaging box to stop transportation and storage.

In order to achieve comparable results, the instrument must be calibrated with second level standard plates that can be traced back to international standards.

2. To this end, IIW (International Institute of Welding) has developed a second level specification sheet, manufactured according to the DIN EN ISO8249 specification and ANSI/AWS A4.2 specification rules.
3. Helmut Fischer provides approved calibration specification sheets for customers to calibrate instruments, which can be traced back to TWI Level 2 specification sheets.
4. The standard sheet indicates two units: the number of ferrite FN and the percentage content% Fe.
5. Correction factors can be set before shipment or instruments can be calibrated using customized standard sheets to reduce the impact of workpiece geometry (curvature, thickness, etc.) on measurement.
6. Different calibration information is stored in different application programs.
