A sorting machine is a device used for weight grading and screening of products. Under the action of wind conveying, materials are transported by the wind and fall onto the high-speed rotating sorting plate through the wind turbine and feeding hopper. Under the action of centrifugal force, the materials are fully dispersed and thrown towards the buffer ring. During the falling process, heavier materials are regulated by the cross airflow generated by the rotor, and slide down to the coarse material collector of the sorter through the blades of the regulating ring for collection, and then discharged through the wind turbine.

In recent years, China's coal preparation technology has developed rapidly, basically forming mature separation processes mainly based on coarse coal heavy medium cyclone separation and coal slurry flotation. The development trend is towards the large-scale development of heavy medium cyclones, while coal slurry flotation is striving towards improving coal slurry selectivity. However, due to the increase in the effective separation lower limit of the large-diameter heavy medium cyclone and the decrease in the upper limit of the feed particle size of the microbubble flotation column, this part of the coarse coal slurry (1.6-0.3mm) between the effective separation lower limit of the heavy medium cyclone and the flotation effective separation upper limit cannot be effectively separated.
