Overview

FRANK-PTI PPS printing surface roughness tester S62600 is designed specifically for testing the printing surface roughness of paper, with a testing range of 0.5-8 μ m. This device has a touch screen interface and is compatible with PaperLIMS and MiniStat software. Its repeatability and reproducibility are respectively #177; 0.2 μ m and #177; 0.4 μm。 Multiple contact pressure options are provided, and the testing direction can be selected from front, back, or simultaneously. The testing process is completed by controlling air flow, and the results are displayed in micrometers. The entire testing process takes approximately 5 seconds.

Test description:

The operator places the sample under the measuring head. After pressing the start button, the measuring head descends onto the sample. Lift the bottom plate with backing substrate and press it onto the measuring head with a preset pressure. Controlled measurement air enters the measuring head, entering from one annular groove between the sample and the measuring head into another annular groove. The test takes approximately 5 seconds. After conducting the test, the measured values (roughness depth) are displayed in micrometers.
