When the pressure inside the system is higher or lower than the safe pressure, the pressure sensor inside the controller immediately acts, causing the contacts inside the controller to connect or disconnect, and the equipment stops working at this time; When the pressure in the system returns to the safe pressure range of the equipment, the pressure sensor in the controller immediately resets, causing the contacts in the controller to connect or disconnect, and the equipment works normally at this time.

(2) Classified by the ability to interrupt current. There are vacuum circuit breakers, vacuum load switches, and vacuum contactors. Vacuum circuit breakers have the ability to interrupt the short-circuit current of the installation point line. Currently, small capacity column mounted vacuum circuit breakers generally have a rated short-circuit breaking current of up to 20kA. Vacuum load switches and vacuum contactors are only used to interrupt load currents, with a general rated value of 630A, and some can reach 800A or 1250A. Their ability to interrupt short-circuit currents is very small, only about 1000-2000A. Therefore, fuses need to be selected as backup protection when applied to interrupt short-circuit currents. The characteristic of a vacuum contactor is that it can be operated frequently for closing and opening. Therefore, the common form of application for vacuum load switches and vacuum contactors is their combination with current limiting fuses.

(3) Classify by purpose. There are distribution vacuum circuit breakers and generator vacuum circuit breakers. The former has multiple structural types and specifications, with a rated short-circuit breaking current of up to 63kA and a rated current of up to 3150A; the latter is a developing protection control switch installed at the outlet of 12-24kV generators, and there are still many key technical issues under research, with a high rated short-circuit breaking current of 80kA.
