The diaphragm clamping cylinder is a diaphragm actuator with an extremely flat structure and a short stroke required to complete the clamping task. Given these special properties, the diaphragm clamping cylinder has many potential applications in situations where the application of other clamping cylinders is limited, such as in narrow gaps. Its clamping force Z can reach up to 1640 N. It can also effectively compensate for the shortcomings of unevenness and dimensional deviations. This cylinder has two designs: circular and slender, which can complete two-dimensional and more linear clamping tasks. Thanks to its airtight design, this clamping cylinder is also suitable for harsh and dusty working conditions. The advantages of airtight cylinders are very obvious in environmental conditions that traditional cylinders cannot cope with.

The basic model of Festo has extremely wide applications and requires less space in terms of output compared to alternative models. Many models have high rigidity sliding bearing guides to choose from, or circular ball bearing guides for high torque applications to choose from.
