Product Overview:

FaVEx NM egg is a specialized column for comprehensive screening of various agricultural and animal residues. Based on the principles of solid-phase extraction purification such as similarity compatibility and ion exchange, it does not require activation equilibrium. When the sample extraction solution passes through this SPE column in one step, impurities are retained on the packing, and then filtered through a 0.22 μ m membrane to obtain the target substance solution, which is then loaded onto a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry for analysis.

The FaVEx NM egg comprehensive screening column for various agricultural and animal residues has been validated to be suitable for use in egg matrices, detecting residues of low to medium polarity veterinary drugs such as sulfonamides, antigen worms, and anti coccidians, as well as residues of medium to high polarity veterinary drugs such as norfloxacin, macrolides, fipronil, and other pesticide residues.

Eggs are rich in protein and lipids, and when using a regular SPE column for pre-treatment purification, sometimes the column may clog, making it difficult to achieve purification goals. Due to the possibility of pesticide residues exceeding the standard in the feed consumed by hens, the eggs hatched by hens also have pesticide residues exceeding the standard. Therefore, eggs not only need to be tested for various veterinary drug residues, but also have the risk of pesticide residues exceeding the standard. A safe egg requires controlling the risk of excessive residues of multiple agricultural and veterinary drugs simultaneously.

Firstly, it simplifies the pre-treatment and purification steps, effectively removing interference such as proteins and lipids; The second is to simultaneously detect multiple pesticide residues and veterinary drug residues. With the support of highly sensitive and accurate analytical instruments, liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) can achieve the goal of simultaneously analyzing multiple pesticide and veterinary drug residues.

Sample Extraction and Purification: Egg Matrix

Weigh 4.0g of the sample, add homogenized stone, 4.0g of sodium sulfate without water, and vigorously shake for 5 minutes;

Add 10mL of acetonitrile solution (1% acetic acid), vigorously shake for 15 minutes, centrifuge (≥ 4000rpm) for 5 minutes;

Take 4mL of supernatant and add it to the FaVEx NM egg SPE column. Flow it out at a rate of 1 drop per second and collect all the filtrate; Add 1mL of 1% acetic acid acetonitrile solution for extraction, and combine the filtrate.

Take 1.25mL of filtrate, concentrate to near dryness, and dilute to 1.0mL with methanol/water (V/V=6:4) solution;

After passing through a 0.22 μ m filter membrane, LC-MS/MS analysis was performed on the machine.
