The tips for using the E+H thermometer are as follows:

Choose the appropriate sensor type:

Select sensors based on the measurement range. For narrow ranges, thermistors are very suitable due to their large resistance changes; For a wider range, thermocouples are more suitable as they can cover the range from freezing to high temperatures.

Considering the response time of the sensor, especially when measuring the temperature in the vibrating tube, a sensor with a small time constant, such as a bead type thermistor or an armored exposed thermocouple, should be selected.

E+H thermometer ensures correct installation:

The installation position should accurately reflect the temperature of the measured object and avoid damage to the temperature measuring element caused by environmental conditions.

For modular temperature sensors, such as iTHERM ModuLine TM131, they can be equipped with built-in pipe or rod protective sleeves, or installed in existing protective sleeves to enhance vibration resistance and safety.

Ensure good thermal contact between the sensor and the object being measured to reduce thermal resistance.

Accurate calibration of E+H thermometer:

E+H temperature transmitters, such as iTEMP TMT82, have high reliability, long-term stability, and measurement accuracy, support HART communication and SIL certification, and can be used for safe operations in hazardous areas.

By utilizing the diagnostic functions of temperature transmitters, such as detecting open or short circuits in sensor cables, detecting wiring errors, and detecting internal faults in instruments, the reliability and safety of the system can be improved.

For dual channel temperature transmitters, their sensor backup function can be utilized to automatically switch to the secondary sensor in case of a main sensor failure, ensuring the continuous operation of the system.

Pay attention to maintenance and upkeep:

Regularly clean the thermometer, especially the probe part, to remove dust or dirt and maintain its good thermal contact performance.

Check whether the connecting cable of the sensor is intact, whether there is corrosion or damage, and replace the damaged cable in a timely manner.

For explosion-proof thermometers such as TR66, it should be ensured that their protection type (such as intrinsic safety, fire resistance, non sparking) meets the requirements of hazardous locations, and their certification and labeling should be regularly checked for effectiveness.
